WHAT WE BELIEVE

STATEMENT OF FAITH

I. We believe in one God who is revealed in the three persons of the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). We believe that each person of the trinity is equally God. 

II. We believe that God is the creator of the universe and all things in it. He is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient.

 III. We believe that Jesus was conceived and born of a virgin named Mary. 

IV. We believe Jesus lived a sinless life, qualifying Him to forgive our sin with His blood. 

V. We believe all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory and in need of a savior. 

VI. We believe that salvation can be found only through Jesus Christ. 

VII. We believe that Christ suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified on the cross, He was buried and on the third day He rose from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. 

VIII. We believe that those who belong to Christ will inherit eternal life in heaven. 

IX. We believe that those who die without accepting the gift of salvation go to a place called hell for eternity. X. We believe that Jesus will return and gather His people, both living and dead. 

XI. We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for training. (ii) XII. We believe in the water baptism of believers as a testimony of faith and obedience to Christ.

XIV. We believe Christ holds supreme authority over all people, governments, nations and laws.

 XV. We believe that Christ is the head of the church and He alone should govern it.

 XVI. We believe in the union of marriage between one man with one woman. 

XVII. We believe that all ministers should follow the example of Christ as servant-leaders

WE ALSO BELIEVE IN THE APOSTLES CREED
